The Free plan costs $0, with limited uploads, image creation and deep research. OpenAI says ads may appear on the Free and Go plans, but not on Plus, Pro, Business or Enterprise. For a company, a Business Standard seat costs $20 per user per month billed annually, or $25 billed monthly, and Business starts at 2 users.

What each plan includes

• Free ($0). Unlimited text chats with GPT-6, subject to OpenAI's abuse guardrails, plus limited uploads, image creation, voice chats and deep research.
• Go ($8 a month). More messages with tools, more uploads, more image creation and longer memory than Free.
• Plus ($20 a month). Advanced reasoning with GPT-6, expanded deep research and Codex usage, plus projects, scheduled tasks and custom GPTs.
• Pro (from $100 a month). Your choice of 3 usage tiers, Pro reasoning with GPT-6 Astra, longer Codex and ChatGPT Work sessions, and maximum deep research.
• Business Standard seat ($20 per user per month billed annually, or $25 billed monthly). OpenAI calls it best for everyday work. Business is for teams of 2 to 200 employees.
• Business Premium seat ($100 per user per month billed annually, or $125 billed monthly). It gives 5x more usage than Standard, with no 5-hour limit, and you can mix both seat types on one team.
• Enterprise. Custom pricing through OpenAI's sales team, with invoicing and volume discounts. Credit-based and token-based pricing are also available.

Pro usage tiers

Pro comes in 3 monthly tiers: Pro 100 at $100, Pro 200 at $200 and Pro 500 at $500 a month. Pro 200 includes more usage than Pro 100, and Pro 500 has the most, plus Ultrafast models that the other two tiers lack. OpenAI explains the usage rules for each tier on its Pro tiers help page.

Monthly or annual billing

Go, Plus and Pro are billed monthly, and Business is billed monthly or annually. Enterprise is sold on annual plans through sales. On either Business seat, annual billing saves 20% against the monthly rate by our math, since OpenAI shows no savings figure of its own.

Discounts and special plans

Nonprofits can get up to 75% off ChatGPT Business or Enterprise through OpenAI for Nonprofits. Verified U.S. K–12 educators get ChatGPT for Teachers free through June 2027. Universities can buy ChatGPT Edu through OpenAI's sales team.
